Gingerbread Hunt
To spread holiday cheer, CRCC is hosting a Gingerbread Hunt to provide families with a fun and contact-free activity this holiday season.
On Tuesday, Dec. 15, families are invited to join a live virtual reading of “The Gingerbread Man” by CRCC’s Director of Education, Brook Studt. The Gingerbread Hunt will begin the day after the reading on Wednesday, Dec. 16, and continue through Sunday, Dec. 20.
How to Play:
1. Click the link on this page to go to our registration form and access the map.
2. Follow the map throughout Omaha to find each gingerbread on the list.
3. Once you’ve spotted a gingerbread, take a photo of them!
4. Once you've finished, send all of your photos to Katie at ksquier@crccomaha.org.
5. Most importantly, have fun!
Contest Rules:
-Every picture submitted earns one entry into the contest.
-If you snap and submit a picture at the Selfie Station at CRCC Southwest (5321 S 138th St. Omaha, NE), you earn 5 entries.
-If you write a note of encouragement, snap a picture and submit at CRCC Northwest (2010 N 88th St. Omaha, NE), you earn 5 entries.
-All photos must be submitted by 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20
Winners:
On Monday, Dec. 21, CRCC will announce two winners who will each receive a gift basket which includes a gingerbread house and decorations, a copy of the book “The Gingerbread Man” and a $25 gift certificate to Eileen’s Cookies.
Sweet treats during the Hunt:
Want to enjoy a holiday treat while you hunt? Scooters on 156th and Pacific will give 10% off to anyone who visits their location on Dec. 16-20 if they mention CRCC. Additionally, Eileen’s Cookies in Papillion and the location at 144th and Center are offering a deal: buy one four-inch cookie, get one free if you mention CRCC.
