Volunteers Make Big Dreams Possible! Big Dreams is more than a festival — it’s a community effort built by people who want to create connection, joy, and unforgettable experiences for Omaha families. From the Race for Big Dreams and kids activities to vendor support, festival operations, guest experience, and more, it takes many helping hands to bring an event like this to life.

Big Dreams FAQ
How do I pickup my race packet?
Race packet pickup begins at 8 a.m. in Stinson Park on event day. Look for signage near the Fun Run & 5K registration area.
What is the route for the race?
The Fun Run & 5K route can be found on our Race Page.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available throughout Aksarben Village and in nearby public parking lots and garages.
Will there be food and drink for purchase?
Yes! A variety of food trucks and vendors will be on site offering food, beverages, and treats for purchase throughout the event.
Is there seating? Can I bring chairs/blankets?
Limited seating will be available throughout the festival near the food trucks and in the Pavilion. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy stage performances and activities comfortably.
Where are the bathrooms?
Restrooms are available on the west end of the park. Please refer to the event map for exact restroom locations.
Is the area fenced in?
Yes! The entire area is fenced in, and there are entrances at the NW and NE corners.
Meet & Greets will take place in the Meet & Greet Tent on the west side of Stinson Park, right next to the Main Stage. Just look for the large "Meet & Greet" sign!
There will be four Meet & Greets throughout the day, each lasting 30 minutes. Check the event schedule for times.
No! Meet & Greets are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
We hope to meet as many families as possible! Because each Meet & Greet is limited to 30 minutes, we can only accommodate as many children and families as time allows during each session. We encourage you to arrive a little early for the best opportunity.
Yes! Families are welcome to line up before each session begins. Please follow directions from our volunteers to help keep the line safe and organized.
Absolutely! Families will be admitted, one group at a time, to meet Peppa Pig & George. Our event photographer will capture each family's photo to be posted on our website following the event, and guests are also welcome to have a volunteer take a quick photo using their own phone, time permitting.
Peppa Pig & George will also appear on the Main Stage for their scheduled performance. Outside of the designated Meet & Greet sessions and stage appearances, they will not be available for photos.
To make sure as many children as possible have a chance to meet Peppa Pig & George, each family will have a brief opportunity for a greeting, hug or wave, and a quick photo.
If time runs out before everyone in line has had a chance to meet Peppa Pig & George, we encourage you to return for one of the remaining Meet & Greet sessions later in the day.
The line may close before the end of the 30-minute session if it reaches capacity. This allows every family already in line to have an opportunity to meet Peppa Pig & George before the session concludes. If a session fills, we invite guests to return for one of the remaining Meet & Greets later in the day.
