When You Want to Care But You Can’t: Combatting Compassion Fatigue
Saturday, June 6, 9 a.m. at CRCC NW
2010 N 88th Street Omaha, NE 68134

Join Connected Roots Care Center (CRCC) for an engaging session led by Dr. Lequisha Turner of Evolving Minds Behavioral Health. This session is designed to help caregivers recognize the signs, symptoms, and impact of compassion fatigue—and explore practical strategies to address it, so you can continue finding meaning and fulfillment in the care you provide.

Enjoy coffee, donuts and fruit while taking time to focus on something just as important: caring for yourself.  Plus, we’ll have drawings for gift bags throughout the event!

Dr. Turner, an Omaha native and UNO alum, worked in the social services field for over a decade before pursuing her doctoral degree in Educational Psychology at UNL. As an assistant professor, she enjoys training the next generation of social workers on providing high-quality services and building empathy for all populations. Dr. Turner also strives to partner with the Omaha community to promote community-centered research. Her research focuses on developing optimal environments for neurodiverse children, youth, and their families so that they may flourish.

This series is open to the entire community.
