Meet Fella! Fella has been a client at CRCC since 2022. Born at under two pounds, Fella spent weeks in the NICU and was diagnosed with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). Babies with BPD have fragile lungs that can be easily irritated or inflamed after birth.
His mom, Melanie, heard about CRCC from a previous therapist and brought him here because his current daycare wasn’t a good fit.
“Having him at CRCC helped out a lot. He was able to have his therapy sessions while learning at the same time. He was also able to be around peers that are more like him. He has opened up more; he may even be the class clown.”
- Melanie
Fella’s preschool teacher, Ms. Lindsey, describes him as an unbelievable young man who never gives up.
“Fella has grown so much in the two years I’ve had him in the classroom! He is talking in longer and more complete sentences with longer word/phrase utterances. He is more independent. He has different equipment in the room to help him get around. Before, he would army crawl everywhere, but now he is moving and grooving in his wheelchair ALL over CRCC! He is an absolute joy to have in the classroom.”
- Ms. Lindsey
We can’t wait to see the incredible young man that he will grow into!
